Roel Funcken of Funckarma – New Album Coming!
Something wicked this way comes… :) Roel Funcken of Funckarma is going to be releasing a new album late March 2010. Vade on the excellent label Ad Noiseam. Update: Stage 2 of the site now enabled!
I’ve been fortunate enough once again to take on the design for his site and to assist in the marketing campaign. The website is going to be an interactive single page site that evolves up to completion at album release.
Its going to feature decaying puzzles, glitchorama, experimental flash objects, and ofcourse, the amazing audio design behind this album.
I have been fortunate enough to preview this utterly unique work of audio, and I can say without a hesitation that it is some of the finest electronic music I have ever heard. Am I biased? Never. :P But seriously, what an evolution in the sound, on every level. Effortlessly switching from dark to light, beat driven to sparse, its what any ground breaking album should be in my mind: formula pushing, diverse, challenging yet accessible…
