How to Submit an Audio Single

Submitting an audio single to this site is relatively simple, just a few requirements... Yes, you love those.
For you quick folk just skim the
blue
and the
red
.
Overview:
All audio submissions are done through the upload system of the forum, an external uploader integrated into the forum engine.
Upload Guide:
1)
Go to the upload section in the toolbar above then select "single".
2)
Fill in title
using this format
:
[Genre] Your Artist Name - Your Track Name (Year)
3)
Click "Browse" and select your file
. MP3 format please, in any bitrate (preferred at 192 or higher, must be 44,100hz). You can also add an associated image if you like, more upload slots will appear.
4)
Click "Upload"
There is an upload dialogue to let you know how it is going. While it uploads you may begin work on your post below.
Once the upload completes, YOU MUST click the buttons in the completed upload window to insert the code wherever you like in your post before you submit it.
5)
Select a creative commons license field
at the bottom.
All files uploaded to this server should be licensed under the
creative commons licensing
scheme. If you are looking to share with us a copyrighted audio file of yours then you should do so by your own hosting, which ultimately gives you more control and leaves us free of any issues down the road.
The preferred creative commons license for submissions here is:
Attribution Non-commercial Share Alike
Quote from: Creative Commons
This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. Others can download and redistribute your work just like the by-nc-nd license, but they can also translate, make remixes, and produce new stories based on your work. All new work based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also be non-commercial in nature.
As this is a site built on art exchange and will soon feature projects involving the building of art together the default license opens others here to remix your work. Ofcourse select something else if you're feeling different about the matter.
That's it, you're done! Click submit and test it out. You can copy the download url and share it outside of this site as well... There is even embed code for a nice player ready to embed into social sites or your webpage.[/color]
