Paul Phoenix

Paul Phoenix is at the top of this list for a reason. I've known Paul for many years now, and his music production is something special, a unique hybrid that shines in it's breadth and scope. Heavily psy influenced, but genre bending nonetheless, I encourage you to check out his CC licensed works by clicking the banner. If you enjoy future psy and goa sounds, or just have an ear for the unique and illumined, then i'm sure you will enjoy the soundscapes found therein.

Funckarma is Don & Roel Funcken, dutch brothers and sonic sculptors extraordinaire. I can safely say that Don & Roel are my favorite musicians during this past while. My synapse cascades say fuck yeah every time the elastic basses and crunching synths generated by the funcken neuro virus shatter my logic systems... Psychedelic research was never better.

Michael Lueckner is the man behind projects Digital Jockey, Computerjockeys and Guitar. The latter alias is his current production outlet and it has to be some of the finest music I have ever had the pleasure to experience. It's downtempo, shoegazer, neoclassical and jpop being delivered in a way that's perfect to me, I love the guy. Almost every person I play his albums for digs it, whether or not they enjoy dowtempo regularly. There is a warmth and depth to his sound you just can't buy. But wait, actually you can, as artist handmade cd's he will ship directly to you. I have had excellent exchanges with Michael and am very happy to support his work. Golden stuff!

Steven Wilson is a very interesting individual and a person I have been into for some time. He is the frontman for the well known prog-rock band "Porcupine Tree", whom I enjoy very much. But his other projects, specifically his ambient alias "Bass Communion" are also of great interest to me. He is a diverse and talented musican with a prolific output from very divergent styles of music. Folk, ambient, rock, electronic, experimental; I love an artist who can switch gears so effortlessly and supply gold no matter which hat is on. Very inspiring work.

There's nobody producing music that's really comparable to SR, he is one-of-a-kind. His music has shaken me up good, there's been experiences to these sounds that have changed the course of my life. Potent ambient, tribal and world sounds coming from the Sonoran desert. With his prolific output you are guaranteed to find something you can zone on.

A forum i have been a member of for some time. Pretty dead now but twas a bustling place back in the day. It used to be associated with a filesharing site but after that went down slowly the users moved on. It suffers from what many music sharing sites do: A whole lot of people who want to post their stuff but not listen and comment on anyone elses. Ah well. If you want to contribute any music or mixes you've worked on please do so! I will always listen and comment Big G willing.
