What is this place?
The short and sweet: An artist exchange community and webportal aiming to foster the exchange of independant and non corporate media of all forms, from audio to visual and more. Version 2 of this site will be up spring 2009, with a totally new function and content. The long story below:

This site began as a little hobby project to share my own music with my 2 fans (my partner and my cat Alpha, who is actually very net savy). Now that my fanbase has exploded into the high 10's I thought "Hey, I've got a life to waste, why don't I code up a bunch of fun shit bringing together the works of artists I love in addition to sharing my own stuff?"

The music page contains mixes and singles produced by me alone and with fellow artists. The art gallery features the art of Peter Estok, and will soon have a shop were you can buy limited edition prints and cards by him. You are also welcome to make offers on the paintings showcased there. Links to communicate directly with the artist are supplied.

The visuals page will be an album art resource for a few bands i really dig, namely the works of Don and Roel Funcken (they will actually be featured in a full visual discography) Guitar, Nine Inch Nails, Proem and others. High resolution images. Featured wallpapers and photography will also be hosted there.

The blog is an area for me to discuss up and coming music, mainly in the fringe, experimental and electronica camps, whilst the netlabel page features a streaming podcast of op3n.net. It will soon contain links to other great netlabels as well. The streams page is just my little zone for sharing electronic music streams (dj mixes etc) I come across that i know you need.

The new forum is the latest incarnation of a long running music exchange community I have been a part of. It is now a hosted at aiwazz.com and artists will be featured on this site as well as remain a seperate entity. Any users browsing through here who wish to share their art, whatever it may be are invited to join this light hearted and free community. Share your homebrew! Soon a gallery will be implemented for you to host your own art, mainpage articles with your work are available, and most of all, you can have productive exchange with others of like mind!

The links page is a showcase for artists and friends that inspire me in the realms of sonic and visual art.

I hope you find something of benefit here...

-aiwazz
